I Liked Vampires Before They Were Cool

Lets face it. Twilight sucks dick. It gives Vampires a bad name. The only good thing with vampires that I am aware of is Vampire Weekend.
Vampire Weekend is amazing. Some of their songs make absolutly no sense, which is why they are so fantastic. The song Oxford Comma is one of my favorites because the lyrics make no sense. "Who gives a fuck about an oxford comma? I've seen those english dramas" Confusing... yet awesome.
Their newest album is called Contra and is very very very very good. I went to one of their concerts and it was sick as hell.
If you dont already know Vampire Weekend, you are a loser. But you can get rid of your loser status if you look them up, buy their music, and love them. Happy listening :)

Metallica? Shoot me.

Death Metal. What. The. Fuck.
Classic heavy metal music like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple knew what they were doing. Motley Crue - A few good songs. But when metal turned into Death Metal, whats the point?
I have plenty of respect for headbangers. Acctually, thats a lie. I dont. Because people who like death metal have bad taste in music. there. I said it. And I dont give a damn if I just offended you. Because if I did, you have bad taste in music.
Metallica, Marilyn Manson, and many others can suck it. Because they have no talent. How can you call that music when you cant even recognize a beat, or a melody, or a harmony, or a rhythm?? Isn't that what classifies music as music? And if all you have to do to have a great band is bang on some drums and scream swears into a microphone, then what has the world come to?

Nationally Fantastic

The National. Quite possibly my favorite band of the moment. The lead singer, Matt Berninger, has a very distinctive low voice that is almost haunting. My sister went to their concert and seeing as her taste in music is usually very good except when she is critisizing Vampire Weekend, I looked them up. When you first listen to The National, you go through phases. First confused, then intrigued, then more confused. You listen and don't understand. But about halfway through the song you have dismissed the strangeness of the lead singers voice and are rocking out. This is an insanely addicting band and I bought all of their albums at once. My favorite is their newest, High Violet. The best tracks are Bloodbuzz Ohio and Sorrow. Look them up bitches, you will be surprised. Happy Listening :)

Why hello there children! I wonder if anyone acctually is reading this... hmmm...
Anywaysss recently discovered a blog called Style Rookie ( http://www.thestylerookie.com/ )and fell in love. Was inspired. Thought: What do I know this much about that people acctually care about? Music. And everything that has to do with it.
I will try to write as much as possible, but I am a vewy vewy busy person.
My most recent dilemma was that Lollapaloza, one of the greatest music festivals like everrrrr for indie rock (which is my obsession), was in town. They had some more popular music like Lady Gaga(fucking amaziiing love her) and Green Day(gag mee). As well as MGMT, Neon Trees, The National, Arcade Fire, Sound Garden, The Strokes, Soundgarden, The New Pornographers, AFI, and Wolfmother. But of course, just my luck, my mother forbid me to go. But my sister got to go. And I didnt even get a measly t-shirt. *sob*
